2024 Application Guidelines
 

1. Write a brief letter describing

(a) your interests and talents and what you have done to develop them
(b) your goals for the future and how you will continue your education
(c) how the award might help you financially

Include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.

2. Add any material you think might help us evaluate your work, such as recordings, photographs etc., and please indicate if any items should be returned to you.

3. Include a letter of recommendation from someone familiar with your work who is in an objective position to evaluate it
(perhaps a teacher or artist you have worked with.)

4. Submit your application by Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in person or by mail to

Applications must be received no later than April 23rd.

In the evaluation process the committee considers each applicant’s individual talent, initiative, focus, desire to pursue a career in the arts, and financial need. The committee reserves the right to split the award between student and alumni categories and judges applications within the context of their category. Individual committee members will exclude themselves from deliberations if there is any potential conflict of interest due to personal connections.

Please feel free to contact a member of the Award Committee if you have specific questions. Applicants will be notified in late May, and the award presentation will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 (place to be announced).
